Michael Kastner

This domain long carried the work of Michael Kastner (d. 17 March 2025), who dedicated mises.de to the Austrian School of Economics. Through buchausgabe.de he published, together with his wife Gabi, books in the service of liberalism: works by Mises, Hayek, Hardy Bouillon and Anthony de Jasay. Anyone who read Mises’ „Nationalökonomie“ in German read an edition that had passed through Kastner's hands. His commitment was selfless, his humour proverbial. We carry mises.de forward in this spirit.
